{"id":161,"date":"2016-02-26T09:48:24","date_gmt":"2016-02-26T17:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iacis.com\/?page_id=161"},"modified":"2024-11-20T11:39:10","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T16:39:10","slug":"proficiency-testing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/allprowebworks.dev\/_iacis\/certification\/proficiency-testing\/","title":{"rendered":"Proficiency Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span class=\"ms-rteFontFace-1\">CFCE Proficiency Exercise\u200b<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"ms-rteFontFace-1\">The IACIS Recertification Subcommittee offers Proficiency exercises annually.\u00a0 To apply for a proficiency exercise, please email <a href=\"mailto:certadmin@iacis.com\">certadmin@iacis.com<\/a>.\u00a0 Email applications should include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Member Name<\/li>\n<li>Certificant Identification Number (Same as Member Number)<\/li>\n<li>Specify they seek to conduct a Non Recertification Proficiency Exercise.<\/li>\n<li>Applications will be reviewed monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"ms-rteFontFace-1\">CFCE certificants are required to take a proficiency exercise in order to satisfy CFCE recertification requirements in the third year from initial certification or last recertification.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"ms-rteFontFace-1\">Certificants may take a proficiency exercise to satisfy accreditation, professional certification, or organizational requirements required by their employer or laboratory.\u00a0 Many laboratories and organizations require their personnel to demonstrate proficiency on a regular basis.\u00a0 Although this is a free service offered to IACIS members, non-members that wish to participate will be assessed a fee in accordance with the established fee schedule.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span class=\"ms-rteFontFace-1\">Proficiency tests are based on a set of approved <a href=\"https:\/\/allprowebworks.dev\/_iacis\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/BCFE-CFCE-Core-Competencies.pdf\">CFCE core competencies<\/a>\u200b.\u00a0 The proficiency examinations are comprised of practical skills and demonstrated knowledge points.\u00a0 Therefore, certificants may be required to perform an actual forensic examination on a forensic image file and answer questions regarding their examination findings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Proficiency exercises are only available to current CFCE certificants.\u00a0 Certificants are allowed 90 days to complete the exercise and must attain a minimum score of 80% to pass.\u00a0 Certificants wishing to take the proficiency exercise as part of their recertification may only do so within their third year of certification.\u00a0 For example, if you received your original CFCE in 2012 or last recertified in 2012 then you must take a recertification proficiency exercise in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The proficiency exercise period is open February 1st through December 31st of each year.\u00a0 The Proficiency Exercise must be completed prior to 23:59 GMT December 31st.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CFCE Proficiency Exercise\u200b The IACIS Recertification Subcommittee offers Proficiency exercises annually.\u00a0 To apply for a proficiency exercise, please email certadmin@iacis.com.\u00a0 Email applications should include: Member Name Certificant Identification Number (Same as Member Number) Specify they seek to conduct a Non Recertification Proficiency Exercise.
