Our mission is to provide forensic computer training as well as facilitate a network of computer forensic professionals with varying levels of expertise. There are two levels of membership in the organization, Regular and Associate.\u00a0 To be eligible for Regular membership, applicants must be a current full-time or former full-time law enforcement or government employee, or a current full-time contractor for a government agency. Regular members have access to training, certification, an active listserv and forensic research.\u00a0 Associate membership is available to current or aspiring members of the computer\/digital forensics community that are able to pass a background check.\u00a0 Associate members have the same access to the benefits as Regular members with the exception that Regular members can vote and hold organizational offices.\u00a0 Proof of status will be verified upon application for membership.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct access to experts<br \/>\nAccess to a\u00a0broad community of professional\u00a0peers via a listserv<\/li>\n<li>One terabyte of cloud storage with your 0365 account<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s easy to start the\u00a0certification process<br \/>\nThe Basic Computer Forensic Examiner training course uniquely prepares students for entry into\u00a0the Certified Forensic Computer\u00a0Examiner (CFCE)\u00a0Program<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining your\u00a0certification<br \/>\nMembers receive FREE annual\u00a0certification proficiency tests and recertification exams every three years.<\/li>\n<li>Train with the experts<br \/>\nMembers enrolled in the CFCE Program\u00a0receive one-on-one peer-review training to help prepare for CFCE Certification Exam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h2>Who can become a member?<\/h2>\n<div><strong>Regular Member<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time Law Enforcement or\u00a0Government Employees (Must provide valid email address)<\/li>\n<li>Former Full-time Law Enforcement or\u00a0Government Employees (Must provide proof of former government\u00a0employment)<\/li>\n<li>Forensic contractors to a Government Agency (Must provide proof or valid email address)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Associate Member<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer Forensic Practitioners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Student Member<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time Students enrolled in Accredited\u00a0School<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h2>Code of Ethics<\/h2>\n<p>IACIS\u00a0members must demonstrate\u00a0and maintain the highest standards\u00a0of ethical conduct.<\/p>\n<p>IACIS\u00a0members must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain the highest level of\u00a0objectivity in all forensic\u00a0examinations and\u00a0accurately present the facts\u00a0involved.<\/li>\n<li>Thoroughly examine and analyze the evidence in a case.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct examinations based upon established, validated principles.<\/li>\n<li>Render opinions having a basis that\u00a0is demonstratively reasonable.<\/li>\n<li>Not withhold any findings, whether\u00a0inculpatory or exculpatory, that would\u00a0cause the facts of a case to be misrepresented or distorted.<\/li>\n<li>Never misrepresent credentials, education, training, and experience\u00a0or membership status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b class=\"ms-rteFontSize-3\">Membership Fees:\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><b>Regular Member\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Initial Fee $100<\/div>\n<div>Annual Renewal Fee $75<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><b>Associate Member<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Initial Fee $150<\/div>\n<div>Annual Renewal Fee $75<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><b>FullTime Students<\/b> (Qualified Associate Members)<\/div>\n<div>Initial Fee $100<\/div>\n<div>Annual Renewal Fee $75<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Benefits of being an IACIS Member IACIS is a non-profit organization.
